Israel-Gaza War (and Iranian Distractions)

Last night Hamas launched a massive rocket attack on Israel. This isn't unprecedented and has happened a lot.

What made these events unprecedented was that they were quickly followed by Hamas fighters surging out of Gaza into nearby Israeli settlements, where they seem to have been taking and holding ground. There are many reports of Israeli civilians being massacred and of wholesale kidnappings, mostly of attractive young women who are being taken into Gaza. (Their fate is unknown but easily imagined.) Hamas has entered the small Israeli city of Sderot (population about 30,000) and occupy about half of it. Several small Israeli villages and farms near the Gaza boundary have fallen.

Hamas is calling for Hezbollah in Lebanon to open a second front in Galilee.

The Israeli government says that this is war and that their response will be far more severe than anything seen in the past. They are calling up some 40,000 Israeli reservists to join the 20,000 or so Israeli soldiers along the Gaza frontier. Airstrikes have been observed in Gaza city. Israel says their army has suffered casualties, but won't say how many. Hamas is calling for Hezbollah in Lebanon to open a second northern front in Galilee. The Iranian parliament in Tehran are chanting "Death to Israel! Death to America!"

An Israeli military spokesman says that they will be calling up "hundreds of thousands" of reservists. So they may be planning some very big response, such as a reoccupation of Gaza. Or it might just be bluster to deter any Hezbollah adventures in the north.

NEW: Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu tells Gaza residents to “GET OUT NOW” as he vows to use all IDF capabilities to destroy Hamas.

“We will win this war, but the price will be unbearably heavy. Hamas wants to murder us all,” Netanyahu said.

“Murdering children and mothers in their homes, in their beds. It is an enemy that kidnaps elderly people, children, young girls.”

“What happened today has never been seen before in Israel and I will ensure it never happens again. The entire government supports this decision. The IDF will immediately use all its power to destroy Hamas’s capabilities.”

The Israeli population of Sderot is being told to shelter in place. Gunfire can be heard and Israeli Merkava tanks have been seen on the streets.

Long convoys of tanks on flatbed tank transporters are visible on Israeli highways.

Israel's northern border with Lebanon has been raised to maximum level of alert. Israeli observation drones are aloft over southern Lebanon. Illumination flares are visible over the border.

Israeli artillery is firing into Gaza city. Several large explosions have been seen, suggesting secondary explosions. Israeli navy boats are off the Gaza coast.

Iran's "Supreme Leader" says that 'God willing', the "cancer of zionism" will be erased. The Taliban are asking Iran, Iraq and Jordan to let their fighters through, so that they can be the ones to take Jerusalem back from the Jews.

Israel just called up another 80,000 reservists. This brings the total callup to over 150,000.

Guess where they spent it.

Israel needs to send Gaza back to the stone age. Kill every military age man, if necessary. These are people committing terrorism for simply being "occupied." Not for being killed, tortured, or any other uncivil treatment. They are apparently using rape as a weapon of war as they take over towns and kidnap woman and children. Don't know if they'd ever refrain from raping the children.

And MSNBC is already acting as an apologist for Palestine. People who excuse evil are, themselves, evil.

EDIT: Not only did Biden give Iran access to $6 billion, he did so on 9/11.

Israeli soldiers appear to have Sderot back. They are still going through the town building by building, looking for any remaining Hamas fighters.

Military veterans looking at the pictures and watching the videos are exclaiming about how unprofessional the Israeli soldiers appear. They move in bunches instead of spread out, they block each others fields of fire and they carelessly point their weapons at each other. The best explanation seems to be that they are poorly trained and hastily called up reservists.

Yeah, our world is really screwed up. Something must be happening behind the scenes. The who and what I don’t know. We have government and political institutions, corporations and big businesses, financial institutions, tech giants, media, WEF with some soft power. Maybe there’s more interconnectedness than we realize. But somethings going down and I think it might be us.

Photos of traffic jams at Israeli military bases as thousands of reservists flood in. Video of a long convoy of self-propelled howitzers heading for the northern border with Lebanon. This northern buildup is probably just in case Iran-armed and funded Hezbollah decides to enter the battle.

The Israeli Prime Minister's office says that Gaza city is to be blockaded. It gets most of its food, water and electricity from Israel and tonight Gaza is in the dark, apart from portable generators.
