The editor here is SCEditor, Other forums likely use CKEditor
CKEditor to my knowledge allows copy and pasting of Tables, Sadly it's not an option with SCEditor.

I saw a very brief outage yesterday, but it only lasted about a minute. No real problem...unless it messes up a post submission.

There might be a few brief instances of instability while I continue to debug the issue, apparently the fix I thought I'd done was actually not working quite right, so I'm looking for another solution. I apologise in advance, the idea is that once this is done it will actually increase stability, although it won't look that way until I've stopped tinkering.

I was caught trying to post during a brief outage, but I resent the info after verifying the forum was back up and all was well.

Okay it looks as if I've actually got it doing something similar to what I wanted to do (I say similar, it really didn't want play nice.)
Technically it's down to Apache having many modules and each module being written by different people. While they indeed have commonalities between each module like variables, they tend to use different syntaxes (and even duplicate variables) There is also the problem that the modules load in a particular order (which it doesn't exactly tell you) so where you might set one variable in one module, it's not necessarily available to another module because it hadn't been loaded yet.
It might be assumed it should be easy enough to see missing variables, the problem is that the magic of Apache is done before it's even fully parsed. So the variables always seemed fully populated on a page load.
This led me to do do a tonne of micro-rewrites to try and work out what was causing issues, and unfortunately in my haste to fix it, I ended up flooding the server worse than most bots do. (I had google think I was a bot from my research, and the company that houses the site I wouldn't be surprised if they had throttled my activity thinking I was a virus)
In any event it's not doing exactly what I wanted (certain times of day bots should be allowed to spider, however when there is peak human activity they should be throttled or stopped, while still being allowed access to the robots.txt file) Instead bot's will either have access at certain times of day or they wont. I'm still going to have to work on what's necessarily to detect the bots as while the mainstream ones actually behave to the robots.txt rules, the other ones don't.
In fact their method to counter what I'm doing is switching IP's and Client headers in an attempt to get around the measure. This could continue to cause a problem if overlooked, so I'll be doing a few more edits later to try and cover their /^patterns$/

I apologise for the sudden disorientation through changing the placement of how the forums are presented. I'm trying to work out if it would look better or not (with a few more tweaks) or whether the previous setup was better.
If anyone has any thoughts on the subject, please feel free to make suggestions, I'll see what I can do.

I increased the font sizes a little, and removed some hard-set width sizes so the page can be displayed on smaller screens (albeit there might well be distortions)

I noticed a software glitch. When I click on the page number of threads listed in a certain forum., I go to the most recent thread page.

I noticed an exploit attempt in my logs in regards to portal, so I've disabled the portal while I continue to look through the database and code. It doesn't appear as if the exploit worked, however it's to be just on the safe side. It should of fixed the problem you were having (at least I hope)
